A bit of snow and the whole country grinds to a halt!

We have about 4″ (10cm) of the white stuff here.

Schools are closed, roads are impossible to drive on (Mr 1st Unique tried to drive to work but ended up abandoning his car when he skidded into a bollard and couldn’t move it from there) and we don’t even have a TV signal.  Mr 1st Unique thinks it’s just all the snow on the satellite dish and is preparing to get the ladders out and scrape it off.  I think he just can’t stand the thought of a day off work with no TV!

Update: The TV works now – it was just snow on the satellite dish.  Looks like a fight for the remote today – college closed, teen daughter winning the remote battle at the moment.  Music channels rule till the oldies can stand it no longer…
