Handmade Monday #7
It’s here again! In case you’ve only just discovered this blog, I’ll explain:
Handmade Monday is a weekly event that happens right here (badly named, as it turns out - it starts on a Sunday evening
) where you can share your creative blog and have a look at what others have been making or doing this past week.
If you’re here just as a reader (rather than a blogger) please do take the time to click on a few of the links below - you may find something really interesting!
If you’re leaving your own link (and, of course, linking back to this blog in your post) please do visit some (or preferably all!) of the others on the list – and leave a comment to let them know you’ve been. Comments on blogs can mean such a lot to the blog owner and they really do appreciate them!
So, for me, this week has been about . . .
. . . Mother’s Day. I know I’m a bit late with this one. Mother’s Day (or to give it its traditional title: Mothering Sunday) in the UK is on 3rd April this year so it’s only three weeks away. I managed to update the website earlier this week with a Gifts for Mums page, although, because a lot of my gifts can be personalised, you may decide on something else altogether.
There’s something cute for Mummy
and something for Mum, to say . . . well, it can say whatever you’d like it to say really . . .
. . . because, of course, I can change the wording on any of these as they’re handpainted to order.
There’s a slight drawback to being handpainted to order though – it does mean people need to get their orders in as early as possible, although I am learning to gear myself up for last-minute orders by pre-painting backgrounds.
So, what do you want to share this week? Go on, click that link button . . . we’d love to see it!

Love the wording on these plaques Wendy, Mother’s are precious and need to be appreciated whilst we have them, my Mum is now an Angel but know she is still around me and has made me what I am today

Drew
Aww, thanks Drew and I’m so glad you like your Reading Room sign! Thanks for featuring it and for popping by again this week.
Nice plaques Wendy; I should think any Mom would love to receive one.
Thank you Rachael – and thanks for popping by today.
Lovely plaques Wendy. I’m going to pass on this link to my two son’s and drop a couple of BIG hints.
Sorry I missed last weeks handmade Monday.

Don’t worry about missing, just glad you popped back. You can join in and drop out whenever it suits – lovely to have you here though xx
These are so sweet
I love how gushy we can be about our mums’
Thanks for continuing Handmade Monday.
Kimberley x
Thanks Kimberley – we can be gushy can’t we? The funniest was when I worked as a teacher with young offenders – the toughest, meanest lads were probably the gushiest about their mums!
I do enjoy Handmade Mondays, so thanks for popping by! Lovely to have you here xx
I really love the plaques, i wonder if my 4 year old would be able to take a hint and master the use of a credit card lol xxx
lol, I wouldn’t recommend training him – can you imagine the fun he’d have with that once he hit his teens?
Thanks for taking part in Hand made Monday xx
Great to have Handmade Monday – enjoying looking at all the blogs!
Excellent – I’m glad you’re enjoying it! So am I!
Just a reminder to everyone – don’t forget to leave comments on the blogs you visit, especially if you’ve enjoyed reading it, as it’s great feedback for the blog owner and they’re always lovely to read.
Thank you everyone for your links xx
I love those plaques.. Have hinted to my hubby for Mother’s day lol! Thanks for handmade Monday x
Haha – have had a few men ordering stuff – mostly being delivered to workplaces! And you’re more than welcome – thanks for joining in
I am so running late today! Your plaques are so adorable, I can’t believe you can letter these so beautifully. I will be back to check out everyone’s stuff but my morning is crazy. Thank you so much for doing Handmade Monday.
And thank you Susie for popping by! This wouldn’t work without all the people who join in! Glad you like the plaques x
Lovely plaques as usual Wendy. I for one know my Mum would really appreciate one. She loves the verses on cards better than the pictures. Off to have a read of the others now.
Haha, my MIL was like that – loved a good verse! Enjoy your read and thanks for joining in! x
I really like the ‘love you so’ plaque. I think your artwork is so creative. Very personal, and so much fun. I hope they are as fun to make as the are to look at. Once I know what colours my mother is redecorating her kitchen in I think I will be popping over to your shop for a request!
Thanks so much Kat – yes, they are a lot of fun to make. I am guilty of being a bit obsessed, if truth be known
My favourite makes are the plaques, because they don’t take a long time to do – I am a bit impatient with longer projects.
Thank you everyine for taking part again this week.
It’s been fab looking round everyone’s blogs and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I do
These are lovely Wendy, I do hope they sell well for you. Thanks again for organising handmade Monday and stopping by my blog! x
Really love your stuff, it’s fab. Just looking around everyone elses blogs and hoping to join in next week
Thanks for your comments ladies.
Please do join in next week Nici – we’d love to have you!
These plaques are truly beautiful – I am SURE you will do well with these. They look like they are enjoyable to make aswell. I missed HM this week but will be back this Monday coming!!
Rebecca
Thanks Rebecca – yes, I love making them! Look forward to seeing you back next Monday.
