Oh, The Weather Outside is Frightful. . .

. . . but the fire is so delightful!

. . . and since we’ve no place to go [except the post office - and even the staff there are getting fed up of my 20-a-day parcel habit]

. . . Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! [I know, I know - I could live to regret those words ;-) ]

snowed in last winter

snowed in last winter

I’m getting used to lighting the fire again in my studio and this winter will be the first full winter I’ve had the benefit of it – it was fitted in the middle of a very cold snap in January 2011.  In fact, the snow last winter delayed it being fitted.

The woodburner is one of the things I’m so glad I’ve got.  It makes my studio toasty warm and disposes of a whole load of chopped-down trees, branches and other debris.  It also makes me smile and think of the song I’ve quoted above.  The rest of the lyrics are here just in case you’re wondering.
