Handmade Monday 48
Welcome back to Handmade Monday. Hope you all had a fab Christmas and New Year break.
This week, I’m just going to show you one of the last things I completed before Christmas.
It was ordered in plenty of time. However, with the frenzy of clock orders that turned the studio into a pre-Christmas production line, I put it to one side for fear of splashing it (if you’ve ever seen me and paint in the same room, you’d understand). I also knew I had someone to deliver this one personally for me so it didn’t need to meet the last posting dates.
It was a large canvas (60cm x 45cm, which is quite a bit larger than I usually work), and one designed especially for a child who’d had a holiday in a camper called Coral, which I thought was a lovely idea!
The red background was to match his room, and the beige camper matched Coral! I worked from a photo on this campervan hire website.
I did enjoy doing it and hope it reminds the whole family of happy times. Now, though, it’s over to you . . . I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been creating recently

Love it, looks so good on that red background!
Happy New Year Wendy – hope you had a great Christmas. Love the plaque – gorgeous background colour too.
That looks wonderful. I love those little campervans, they seem so popular, and they are just so cute! Coral, what a great name. We had a car (1957 Buick Station Wagon) when I was a girl, named Betsy. We loved her.
I love it, well done on getting everything out in time, looks like you worked your socks off, hope I’m that busy one day!
Kim. Xx
Happy New Year Wendy – what a great gift, I’m sure the little person was as pleased as punch with that. What a super campervan too! Hope you unwound a bit over the holiday.
The campervan looks great. Good to have Handmade Monday back again, hope you’ve had a good rest. x
beautiful painting. so neat, all the details visible. even steady lines. great job! you’re a truly a camper van lady
now they seem to be your iconic product
happy new year and lots of creative juices for 2012.
your blog banner is lovely. love the red and blue bits and bobs in it
That’s a fab gift and I’m sure it will be appreciated
Lovely to be back. I’m glad the child remembers the camper van with fond memories, my children would be daft enough to talk about the fridge being small or having to sleep on a flowery cushion instead!
Enough with your campervan already – they are beautiful but are making me think of my little caravan on the Lizard – Happy New Year Wendy
It’s a great canvas Wendy and the red looks lovely. I’m sure it was very well received.

Great project, such a bold red!
I’ve been brewing beer recently only another 14 days or so until I can actually drink it! ha ha : )
Wendy….I love that red….Gorgeous xx
Lovely – there seems to be a lot of red and hearts floating about this week on the other blogs including mine.

Fantastic campervan. Makes a change from doing clocks. Glad to see that Handmade Monday is back.
Small thing I’ve noticed – this Handmade Monday is in the General catergory rather than the regular Handmade Monday catergory.
Happy New Year Wendy,
The plaque is lovely, nice touch on the number plate. Looking forward to joining you, (more regularly is the plan!). Here’s to a happy and successful 2012 to all Handmade Monday friends.
Happy New Year to everyone at Handmade Monday. I can see you have all been busy over the Christmas holidays! Things have been very slow craft-wise in la Suisse over the past few weeks but I hope to be able to join the gang again soon
