Cute Baby Chicks (real ones this time!!)
While the last 2 posts have been chicken-themed, with new chicken gifts, I thought I’d share some real-life baby chicks with you.
My eldest daughter has decided to raise some baby chicks to add to her menagerie (her house is overflowing with dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, oh and a couple of kids too). She is a dog groomer, and is passionate about animals. She has been since she was a toddler, when I found her trying to nurse a dying bluebottle back to life.
Just look at these cute little chicks:
All together now: aaaaahhhhh!!! Aren’t they just gorgeous?
Here’s another one:
Any males will have to go back to the farm they came from, as she lives in a built-up area and the neighbours really wouldn’t thank her for all the cock-a-doodle-dooing every morning. The females will stay and hopefully lay some lovely breakfast eggs. The kids will love collecting them.
…
Once I can get a nice chicken shed (and get my garden a bit straighter) I would love to get some chickens myself. My daughter has offered to raise them from newborn chicks for me!!
…
At the moment, setting up the business, designing new gifts, creating samples, going to fairs & events, building the website and (last but definitely not least) fulfilling customer orders, is taking up all my time.
…
I would love a couple of buff Orpingtons, like this one (although this one is a male!):
Watch this space!!
