Personalised Photo Frames

Our little personalised photo frames are always popular.  We make them in a variety of colours as well as plain varnished wood and embellish them with a little painted picture (optional).

They’re great with just names on, with messages on, or whatever you like.  They are especially good for those firsts in life: first day at school, first Communion, first Christmas, first Easter, first fishing trip (yes, it’s been commissioned!) -absolutely anything you can dream up really!

They make a great memento of other special occasions too: Jessica’s Christening, Jamie’s 21st, Louisa’s 30th birthday, etc.  You get the idea.

The frames are made of wood, with a card backing which has the usual fold-out piece to prop the frame up.  They measure approx 7″ x 5″ with the picture area being a standard 6″ x 4″ (18cm x 10cm) making them ideal for displaying a favourite photo.  We usually make them in a portrait orientation but can make them landscape for you too.

They come in two basic styles: a plain finish and a shabby-chic finish.  Shabby-chic, as the name suggests, will have sanded-back areas with some of the wood showing through the painted finish.  We know this isn’t a look that appeals to everyone (although many of our customers love it, as do we!) which is why we offer the choice of a plain painted finish too.  If you choose the varnished wood, it will be a plain finish.

Only until the end of February, we’re offering the frames at a reduced price: they are usually £5.99 each but are just £4.50 each at the moment.  Now’s the time to buy!  Go to: http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/special%20offerphotoframe.html

With Mother’s Day being just 3 weeks away, they’d be a perfect gift for a perfect mum, too.  We can use whatever wording you choose: Best Mum in the world? Perfect Mum? I love you, Mum? World’s Best Mum?

The special offer price is only available until 28th February though!!

New Brighton Pavilion Craft Fair

I’m sitting here at the New Brighton Floral Pavilion, typing this in between chatting to customers.  It’s a lovely venue, in a large room with big full-width ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking the sea.  I should’ve brought my camera.

The Floral Pavilion will be home to a craft fair every month for the rest of this year.  I will try to fit in some more visits here around my existing events commitments, and will update my events page accordingly (click on the link to the right) as soon as I finalise the details.

If you were a customer here today, thank you.  A lot of you bought a first day at school picture frame, and I’ve also already sold a few stork paintings for new babies (some not even born yet - awaiting details!).

As always, if you are interested in buying, please do visit the website where you can buy online: www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk or come and see me in person at one of the upcoming events.

Want an Original Christening Gift? Buy an Original Stork Painting!

My surprise best seller at the moment is this stork painting, with one baby or twins, personalised with names, dates, weights and even times.  Most customers buy it in neutral, as pictured, but you can have it in any colours.  They make great Christening gifts or newborn gifts, and a lovely keepsake which is unlikely to be put in a cupboard to gather dust like some keepsakes.

Some customers wanted a smaller version, so I’m pleased to announce that the 15cm x 15cm (6″ x 6″) stork painting has now made its appearance.  It’s available in baby blue, baby pink or neutral (as well as other colours to order).  It’s available initially for just £14.99.  It won’t make its way onto the website until next week, so if you’d like to order one before then, please contact me using this form:

http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/contact.html

Alternatively, you can email on: mail1stuniquegifts@yahoo.co.uk

I’m out at shows all weekend, but will check my emails each evening.  I do usually take my laptop, but haven’t got a powerpoint in Blackburn Market on Friday (tomorrow) or Saturday.

Here’s the 15cm (6″) version.  It really is cute.

I’ll be taking some of these with me to Blackburn Art Market tomorrow and Saturday, and to Samlesbury Hall on Sunday if they don’t sell out first.  I can do the lettering while you wait.
All the paintings are originals, by the way, not prints.

Stockton Heath Festival and stork canvas gift

What started out as a very quiet day with rainclouds looming ominously overhead actually turned out to be a great day.  It was a busy afternoon, still cloudy but warm and rain-free.  My daughter who’s up from London came along and made herself very useful as an assistant.  She also kept me company and it was nice to chat as I do miss her.

For a customer I met today, I have a rush order to get ready for tomorrow lunchtime - a personalised stork canvas for a christening gift which needs to be done for lunchtime.  Fortunately the customer lives a five-minute drive away from me, which is an obvious advantage for rush orders!!

This is a pic of the canvas on my website - see www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk for more info and to order your own!

I’d best go and get started!!

Memorable New Baby Gift

I thought you might like to see this painting for twins, a recent commission.  It’s generated a fair bit of interest so far.  It measures 14″ x 14″ and was commissioned to go on the wall of the babies’ grandmother.

The babies’ names, weights and date of birth are incorporated into the picture.

The stork canvas is painted to order each time, so I can change colours to suit you, and accommodate your own wishlist.  The 14″ x 14″ size costs £40.00 plus £3.90 UK postage (overseas postage rates on request).  It’s available to order here: http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/childrens%20wall%20art.0.1.html

It makes a rather unique gift, one which is likely to be treasured and remembered.  It could be great for a christening, or just to treat yourself and remind your children or grandchildren how special they are.

Do you know anyone who would love one of these?
