This week has been about lots of different things, including my children’s art hangers

Evie's latest masterpiece

I make them with all sorts of images, including children.  I was asked recently to make one for a child with ginger hair

I’ve not done ginger hair before so I got busy with some experimental mixing.  Hopefully the colour turned out ok.  I think it looks a bit dark on the computer and was hopefully better in reality :-)

I was also asked for an elephant!

I quite like the way this one turned out.  Apparently the customer did too!  It’s always lovely to hear that something you’ve made is exactly what the customer was looking for!

The art hangers are a lot of fun and they make hanging up children’s latest masterpieces that little bit more special.  They’re also lovely gifts for Grandmas!  Coupled with a painting or drawing your child has made for Grandma, they make a perfect gift from a little one!

These are items that customers come back for time and again, which surprised me to begin with.  It seems the reason people make repeat purchases on these is that they make such lovely little gifts for their own children’s friends, and we all know they get invited to so many parties!

So, that’s me for this week – what about you?  If you want to share what you’ve been making, pop a link to your blog below, and link back in your blog post.  Enjoy browsing the blogs – there’s always something fabulous to find!  Please do leave a comment for the blog owner if you like what you see!

The Biggest Compliment?

If you produce handmade items to sell, what do you think your biggest compliment from customers has been?

For me, there have been quite a few absolutely lovely ones I could tell you about.  I often copy customer emails onto the website here and some lovely customers have also written delightful, considerate and complimentary reviews on my Google Maps page and Free Index. They all help immensely and are very much appreciated – thank you so much.  I know each one of these comments has been made by someone kind enough to take time out of what was probably a busy day to write their feedback.

Then there was a lovely lady who came up to my stall when I was at the Warrington Market craft fair who told me the art hanger plaques she’d bought from me  a few months back turned out to be the best Christmas present her grandchildren had received!  Wow - what an amazing compliment; they apparently loved them!

But I think the best compliment of all has to be the customers who return time and time again and just . . .  buy more things.  It proves they’re happy with their purchases and it’s surely got to be the best compliment of all.

Thank you so much,  if you are one of them!
