Handmade Monday 22

Hello and Happy Handmade Monday to you!  To join in, please leave a link to your blog below.

When I first started my business, I knew it would be seasonal, but I hadn’t realised how seasonal exactly – this week has mostly been a week of photo frames

mostly for teachers and

and first Holy Communions

which actually goes to show the power of blogging – these first Holy Communion frames aren’t on the website at the moment (whoops!) but I’ve sold loads of them these past few weeks, simply because they’re on my blog from last year.

I really enjoy the seasonal aspect to my work (although I’m not very good at planning for it, hence the first Holy Communion frames not finding their way to my “shop window”!)  as it means by the time I’m gettinga bit fed up of something, I get a little change of direction – painting something completely different.

I’ve also given myself a slight change of direction/challenge this week!  I’ve quite a few outdoor fairs coming up – with my gazebo – and I think some bunting may be a nice addition.  How long will it take me to turn this

into something I want to hang from my gazebo?  I’m aiming for double-sided, topstitched and completely recycled.  Not asking for much, I know – but sewing was my background and if I can’t manage a bit of bunting, then things are looking poor.

And I have to do it now I’ve told you all about it!
